Introducing Siren's Vice President of Sales, Ashlei Morris

Honored to have Ashlei as a leader of Siren's growing team, we are looking forward to the changes she will inspire in the preventative healthcare industry.

As Siren continues to improve the podiatric care of thousands of patients across the country, our development as a business is met with the support of an ever-growing team of dedicated professionals. Our mission to educate and improve the health of people with diabetes and peripheral vascular disease is made possible by our knowledgeable staff, each member an invaluable addition to the team. Ashlei Morris, the newly appointed Vice President of Sales, is one such member.

Ashlei’s formal education as a stenographer introduced her to the world of medicine when she joined a nurse consulting firm that specialized in class-action medical lawsuits. In 2013, she transitioned from the legal sector of medicine to sales after meeting the president of a medical device start-up. As the Director of Sales and Business Development, Ashlei stated, “I was able to help facilitate the growth of the organization to one of the top orthotic and prosthetic companies in the Houston market and a multimillion-dollar business.” With a talent for business development, Ashlei would share her expertise with other medical device start-ups to help kick off their efforts.

When asked what inspired her to begin working in the medical sector, Ashlei shared the tragic story of her cousin which motivated her to inspire change in the orthotic and podiatric industry. In 2008, her cousin was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that left one of his legs severely damaged. With no hope of regaining use of the leg, his doctors made the difficult decision to amputate the leg and endure the process of learning to walk with a prosthesis. When describing her cousin’s story, Ashlei explained, “it was through his experience that I saw a lot of the trials amputees face, both emotionally and physically, as well as the holes in our healthcare system for these patients. It ignited my passion to act and become a resource to patients and make a difference where I could.”

Since entering the medical device industry, Ashlei has learned more about the prevalence of limb amputations. Approximately 185,000 new amputations are performed every year, and the minority of these are related to traumatic injuries like her cousin’s. When Ashlei discovered that most limb amputations were a result of preventable conditions like diabetes and peripheral vascular disease, she said, “I made it my mission to educate and be a resource to anyone and everyone that would listen.”

Today, Ashlei continues to work toward this mission as a valuable member of the Siren team. She began working with Siren in 2021 as the director of sales and quickly demonstrated that her passion for improving lives with medical technology was worthy of an executive-level position. By the end of the year, Ashlei was promoted to Vice President of Sales, and she has big plans for the company in the coming years. “My goals for [Siren] are to create both patient and doctor awareness of the technologies that we provide, drive change in the industry as a whole, and expand into value-based care. Healthcare has been such an antiquated industry for so long, it's time to start breaking down those barriers and using the technology that has been developed to benefit patients as a whole,” states Ashlei.

Although the roots of her early career are set in the postoperative care of people with amputations, Ashlei is eager to focus on preventative care for people at higher risk for amputations. She states, “Siren is an evolution of my passion and desire to help prevent amputations and save lives. Siren Socks provides the component we've been missing in healthcare and focuses on the proactive care of a patient versus reactive healthcare which has long been the industry standard.”

Siren is honored to have Ashlei Morris as a leader of our growing team, and we are looking forward to the changes she will inspire in the preventative healthcare industry.
